Note: This recipe makes about 10-12 Granola Bars

Ingredients
THE BASE:
- 4 Cups of Oats
- 1 Cup of a Nut Butter (We like SunButter, but Almond Butter, Peanut Butter, or Cashew Butter works really well).
- 1/2 Cup of Maple Syrup or Honey
- 1 TSP of Salt
- 1 TSP of Cinnamon
- 3 TBL of Brown Sugar
THE MIX-INS (Add any Mix-In you like, just have it only total to 1 1/2 Cup)
- Coconut Flakes
- Chocolate Chips
- Pecans
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Sunflower Seeds
- Peanuts or Mixed Nuts
- Dried Fruit
Directions:
Create the base in the bowl, add your mix-ins. The granola should begin to clump up as you mix it. It should be moist enough to hold its shape when you squeeze it in your hand. If it doesn’t, add a little more nut butter and honey. Once it clumps, press it in a 9X13 pan that has been sprayed with vegan nonstick spray and lined with parchment. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 Degrees or until the edges turn brown. Slice the granola immediately but do not remove the bars from the pan until completely cool.
Substitutions and Additions:
To make granola to use in cereals or with yogurt and fruit, simple halve the nut butter and syrup/honey and spread a single layer on parchment. Bake at the same temperature for the same length of time, flipping the granola half way through.
