Spaghetti and the Best Quick Marinara Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 Package of Egg-Free Pasta
  • 1 Large Can of Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Small can of Tomato Paste
  • 3 TBL of Olive Oil 
  • 3 TBL of Chopped Fresh Basil (2 tsp dry)
  • 3 TBl of Chopped Fresh Oregano (2 tsp dry)
  • 3 TBL of Chopped fresh Thyme  (2 tsp dry)
  • 3 TBl of Chopped Fresh Garlic (2 Tsp of dry)
  • 2 tsp. Of Red Pepper Flake (if you like heat, add more)
  • Top with a sprinkle of Nutritional Yeast (Tastes like Parmesan Cheese) 

Directions:

  1. Heat a pot of water and cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Once pasta has cooked and drained, using the same pot, add olive oil, herbs, spices, and garlic. 
  3. Then add and mix Tomato paste into the oil. Once the oil in the pan turns a deep dark orange, add the sauce.
  4. Turn down the heat and let the pasta sauce simmer for at least 10 min. Longer you let it go, the better it gets. 
  5. Mix into the pasta and top with nutritional yeast.
